Savage Beauty.

McQueen is one of my biggest inspirations not only in fashion but in life he sees everything in a way no one sees and he sees the beauty in everything no matter how dark. This exhibition of his 'Savage Beauty' was his exhibition after he decided to leave the world. He was extremely interested in nature just because it is unpredictable. It was something he could never understand as he couldn't control what happens in nature this is why I think he did his collection on nature as he can control it and it can be unpredictable.

Punk's Not Dead!

Currently I am a huge fan of punk and think it was a brilliant fashion movement and also art and music as a matter of fact. I have been looking at punk for my collection for university I am getting a lot of inspiration from Vivienne West wood which I am not normally a fan of but she was big part of the punk movement.
A lot of the inspiration is from things such as music and album and vinyl covers which my dad has plenty of! I have been listening to the New York Dolls quite recently which has put me in the mood for punk and got me raring to go. Also The Ramones.
I am excited about this and will let you know how the collection goes.

Ideas continued.

Had meeting last night about my fabulous fundraising idea! Have come up with a live fashion show and music night along with a Alice in Wonderland type feel to it with cupcakes and cocktails. Also we were thinking of the event capturing your imagination like the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. So all arty and strange to make you think about what you are seeing. We are now really excited about this and should have tickets and fliers soon!

Jukebox Mama

Known them for a while now and they totally rock. This band are a rock/pop live wedding, party and any event function band. They started off in France touring around the ski resorts and showing the holiday makers and skiers a good time they definitely know how to rock and roll.
They have a range from modern pop and old classics they are willing to learn new stuff just send them a song to learn but I seriously suggest you check them out. Hopefully they will be appearing at my fundraiser and will help raise the money I need.
Anyway check their website www.jukeboxmama.com !

Catching fire.

The sequel book to the hunger games amazing and brilliant had me in suspense page 1 to end! I was originally told to read them by my dearest.
Obviously I wrote about the first part so this time it is the 75th anniversary of the Hunger Games and every 25 years they have a Quarter Quell and they do something different every year this time will be shock as Panem the main Capitol is very fragile and on the edge of a rebellion which was brought on by Katnis Everdeen in the last Hunger Games.
I don't want to spoil it much more but the the capitol is angry and wants to get its own back!!!!!!!
DU DU DU

Cant wait to read the third one ! Have started and it will probably be on here within a week.
Recommend these books to anyone and its only 2 weeks til the film :)

Jungle Gyms

Been to Lincoln this week with my dearest Hannah Evans. One night of the week we went to play zone basically a huge Jungle gym and they have student hour and everyone kind of turns into kids again its great. Was surprised by this and haven't been in a Jungle gym for years brought back my inner child it truly did. Great way to burn calories and let off some steam at the same time just let yourself be taken back to youth and enjoy!
