Been a While But Im Back...

Hello Lovely People!!!!

I have had a very busy year with starting uni and working!!! Now its summer and I thought I would update my blog!!

I am currently enjoying my summer and trying to find things to keep me occupied!!!

Since being at university and studying fashion design I thought I could put my sewing skills to use and set up an etsy shop to try get money for next term!!!!

I have just got a job in a fabric shop in Southampton so it is ideal as I get discounted fabrics and they sell a range of beautiful printed fabrics which helped me come up with making things for etsy I have started off making bunting and would love it if you lovely people would check it out and spread the word!!!

TODAY IS BORING...

Well I have had an interesting week this week for sure...

I have had an interview for Southampton University and also been protesting in London for the lovely Kelly Shaw. It was to get a valid point across, because Kelly is an upcoming designer and hasn't got a lot of money to start up she can not afford to put on a show, this is the same for most independent designers and this shouldn't be the case.

'Money Money Money Must Be Funny In A Rich Man's World'

Money shouldn't stop talented creative people from showing off their work like the bigger brands do, it should be about equality and diversity. So we all got dressed up in Kelly's SS/13 and AW/13 collections and  wondered the streets of London until we got to Somerset House where London Fashion Week was taking place and stood outside the entrance being anarchic trying to get press. It was a successful day and we had a  RIOT!....

Things to pack...

Hello,


I have been thinking today at what I am going to need to go to uni with and then my thoughts led on to what would be the top five items I would take with me if I only had the option to take five things. This is such a tricky question because really what do you take with you ?




This is the first item that popped into my mind I don't think is the most suitable item although they would definitely last a long time and in all weathers. So I think my faithful Doc Martens deserve to be one of the five items.

Secondly I love photographs and memories so the it was a difficult choice between my beautiful Nikon or a favourite photograph which is also a very tricky decision but if you choose camera you can take more beautiful photographs and create a load more memories but if you have one photograph you will never be able to take more. So I decided on the camera to carry on my book of memories.


Next on the list was my iPod as music is everything to me and it would happily keep me entertained for a long time and it would NEVER EVER get boring. What a easy choice.

I love to be warm being cold is on top of my hate list and I really love my parka being in London for a month after Christmas I found this out as I took my leather jacket instead of parka and really regretted this as I was so cold. It was greatly missed.

Also I would choose one of my favourite books to come with me but currently that is too much of a decision to make that would need much thought.

James Edsons Tripping.

Hello,

I was in bed this morning flicking through the Dazed and Confused website and I came across these images I found beautiful they are a set of images that James Edson has taken through the years he is a skateboarder and has been taking pictures since he was little. These images were picked out from all the images he has taken.

He has a DIY feel to his images which make them more beautiful, they are unique in their own way and this is what I love about his images. They are a journey through the past 20 years of his life and I think this is a great idea.  James loves to travel, skate and life an exciting life.
